Join us on the first of three visits this year to Sidmouth, nestled between the majestic red cliffs of Peak and Salcombe Hills, and the green hills of the Sid Valley. You’ll be captivated by the charm and timelessness of this picturesque coastal town, carefully nurtured and preserved to remain a constant pleasure. Join us for a fascinating Easter break based in the lovely city of Bristol. Wetlands Trust, the SS Great Britain and the new Being Brunel exhibition and have a guided tour of Bristol.
This weekend we make visits to Cirencester and Gloucester on our way to Wales. Spend the day at the Royal Welsh Showground, Builth Wells, for the first day of the two-day International Antiques and Collectors Fair of Wales, and make stops at Lechlade and Newbury on our way home. Lincolnshire is an outstanding area of ever-changing landscapes and exciting scenery, shaped by a rich tapestry of fascinating heritage, passionate people and intriguing traditions. We return to the elegant Regency town of Sidmouth for our summer visit, stopping at Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens on our way. During our stay, we visit Greenway House, Agatha Christie’s holiday home and step back in time as we take a horse-drawn boat trip on the Grand Western Canal. Staying in the lovely town of Caernarfon with its famous castle, we take a canal cruise over the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, whilst enjoying a Welsh cream tea, a ride on the Ffestiniog Railway and a visit to the pretty village of Portmeirion. The Isle of Man, midway between Britain and Ireland, is only 13 miles wide and 33 miles long yet oﬀers a wide variety of town and country.
This unique self-governing kingdom has its own parliament and is renowned for its relaxed pace of life, wonderfully preserved and totally unique heritage and culture. Started in 1985 and taking place six times a year, the Newark International Antiques and Collectors Fair enjoys the distinction of being included in the book 1,000 Places to See Before You Die. On this short break we explore the beautiful countryside and coastline of Kent, the Garden of England.
