He offers more than 25 years of extensive experience in knee and shoulder arthroscopic surgeries. He provides the latest surgical and non-surgical treatments for bone and joint-related conditions, including the full spectrum of orthopedic care, from initial diagnosis and treatment to rehabilitation. He also is accredited in hip resurfacing. Shapiro earned his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. He completed a general surgery internship at the University of Wisconsin Hospitals, Madison, Wisconsin. Shapiro subsequently completed an orthopedic residency at the Hospital for Joint Diseases and Orthopedic Institute in New York City. He also holds a Master of Science degree in molecular and cellular biology from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.
