Ulli hörte die Musik von Schallplatten ab, gründete seine eigene Band und begann nach vielen Umwegen eine Karriere als Berufsmusiker. Seine Laufbahn führte ihn durch die Beatclubs der 60er, die Berliner Folkclubs der 70er und ab den 80er Jahren auf die internationalen Konzertbühnen. 16 CDs und ebenso viele Musikbücher sind Ausdruck seiner Kreativität. Parallel gründete Ulli Boegershausen sein eigenes CD-Label und produzierte mehr als 100 CDs mit so bekannten Jazzmusikern wie der amerikanischen Harfenistin Deborah Henson-Conant und dem Miles Davis Schlagzeuger Al Foster. Als Sologitarrist bereiste Ulli Boegershausen viele Länder der Erde, besonders intensiv Asien. Ein Leben voller Eindrücke und Anekdoten, locker und witzig erzählt.
